About- Stay Salty Silver Testimony

My name is Megan Lynch, I'm originally from Lebanon, Oregon. I was born and raised in a Jesus loving home and am so thankful to have been introduced to Jesus and begin my personal relationship with Him at a very young age. When I was about 17 years old, I felt the Lord call me to what I thought would be a "summer internship" with LeAnn and JW Hart and their family on their ranch in Oklahoma. Long story a little shorter, the Lord had bigger plans than I expected, and after travelling with LeAnn that summer for full time ministry, wherever the Lord calls, leading worship and sharing the word, that "summer internship" has lasted to this day.

A few years ago, I had the desire to attempt to learn to make sterling silver jewelry. This desire was a bit of a stretch in my mind initially, because I have never considered myself a very crafty or artistically gifted person in anyway. My prayer when I took the first step to learn was, "Lord, if this is something You are giving me the desire to do, I know You're going to work through me to give me the ability to create this. I don't feel creative, but I know You created all things, and I was made in Your image, and I believe You can use me however You see fit. If this is Your will, and You want to create this through me, to share Your love and Your word, I know You'll help me. But if this is just my own desire apart from Your will, I'll drop it and move on to something else."

I reached out to our dear friend Meagan Samford who has her own silver business and is incredibly talented (Samford Silver), and the Lord used her to pour into me and teach me. I instantly fell in love with it.

I know that apart from Jesus, I can do nothing, and I believe, just like when He called me to Oklahoma, He also gave me the desire and love for making jewelry. I know I wouldn't have the ability or even "the eye" for it on my own!

Hence the name of my business being Stay Salty Silver. My prayer for this page and my business as a whole is not only to share hand crafted sterling silver jewelry with others who have a love for it like I do, but primarily to have a much deeper and more impactful meaning than I could give in and of myself. The scripture Matthew 5:13-16 says,

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

My prayer for this page and this jewelry is to encourage and remind everyone who comes in contact with it, that the Lord knows our potential, He knows what we are made of, because He made us in His own image, and He knows why He made us. We cannot take materialistic possessions to heaven with us, but by sharing the gospel, we can bring people to heaven with us.

Just like salt, and light, we are called to transform the environment we come in contact with. When we carry the transformative, powerful, life-giving, true word of God in our hearts, and the evidence is shown in our lives, there is no greater message.

Please know that my ultimate goal is not for everyone to know my business or even for everyone to wear my jewelry, but above all else, I pray that you know the goodness of God, His love for you, and the freedom in living in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

And from there, I pray that we would all answer the call to let the Holy Spirit lead and guide our lives, that we would share the truth of the gospel with others, that we would be like the lamp that gives light to everyone in the house, and that we would be like the salt, that not only gives flavor and preserves, but creates an even deeper thirst for the things of God.

If you have any questions, whether it be about jewelry, about my story, a prayer request, or especially about a relationship with Jesus, please feel free to contact me at staysaltysilver@gmail.com.

Stay Salty,

Meg Lynch
